Lorde Curating Next Hunger Games Soundtrack

. (Radio.com) The Hunger Games just added a new female star: Lorde. The GRAMMY winning singer/songwriter will curate the soundtrack for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1. She will also have the soundtrack's lead single.

Her curation will include hand picking each artist included on the soundtrack, which will be made available via her U.S. label, Republic Records, this fall. The film will open in theaters nationwide on Nov. 21.

"Curating the soundtrack for such a hotly-anticipated film was a challenge, but I jumped at the chance," Lorde said in a press release. "The cast and story are an inspiration for all musicians participating and, as someone with cinematic leanings, being privy to a different creative process has been a unique experience.
