Winger Singled Out Week: Better Days Comin
. We wanted an answer to Down Incognito. So we started a funky beat and I picked a weird scale for the riff. Often times to mix it up, I'll pick an odd scale, and ask Reb to write something with only a certain set of notes. Reb wrote the opening and then grabbed the bass and wrote the bass part as well. I blurted out on the first go... "there's a sign of a better day comin" I instantly knew that was the title. When we fell upon the chorus riff and melody, we knew we had it.. The whole song was finished in about 6 hours. Hearing is believing. Now that you know the story behind the song, listen for yourself and learn more about the album right here!
