(Radio.com) Fans of Miley Cyrus got word via some surprising tweets from the pop star, confirming that she is is in the hospital and won't be playing Tuesday night's show in Kansas City, Missouri and yesterday morning stating she wouldn't make her St. Louis show either.

CNN confirmed via Cyrus's reps on Tuesday (April 16) that she was hospitalized for "a severe allergic reaction to antibiotics." This follows another tour illness earlier, when the flu caused her to cancel a show in North Carolina.

"I can't get a hold of my team because it is so early so I want to be the one to tell my fans especially the ones trekking to get there," the singer tweeted. "[T]he hospital is sayin i wont b released today therefore Im not going 2 make it 2 St Louis. Im so sorry but somethings are outta my control." more on this story
