History Made On Billboard Hot 100 Chart

(Radio.com) Ever had that friend who complains literally all the time that the popular music charts are always the same with little change? For the last three weeks, he/she's been kind of right. Billboard revealed this week's Hot 100 ranking, and it was more of the same.

The entire top seven of the Hot 100 was in the exact same chart placements they were last week, just like they were the week before. That makes three straight weeks of the same top seven:

John Legend's "All of Me", "Dark Horse" from Katy Perry and Juicy J, Jason Derulo's 2 Chainz-featuring hit "Talk Dirty", "Frozen" hit "Let It Go", "Pompeii" from Bastille and Lorde's sophomore hit, "Team".

It's the first time, according to Billboard, such a thing has happened in the chart's 55-year history, making the count simultaneously regular and irregular in its record-breaking gridlock. more on this story
