Arcade Fire Perform Blondie Classic
. The beginning of the audio that was taken from the concert sounds quite like an intro to the band's 2010 hit "Sprawl II (Mountains Beyond Mountains)" at first - and that's because the band led into the cover with the song from The Suburbs - but it soon zooms into totally new territory with the '70s hit, covered on lead vocals by singer Regine Chassagne. Frontman Win Butler isn't totally absent vocals-wise; he can be heard doing some backing vocals after about a minute into the song. The set list for Arcade Fire's most recent tour has been chock full of covers - some surprising, others not so much - since it began earlier this year. Other choice cuts include Boyz II Men's "Motownphilly," Stevie Wonder's "Uptight (Everything's Alright)" and "The Last Time" by the Rolling Stones. Of course, "Heart of Glass" is one of the more sensible covers after the band released Reflektor, their disco rock LP that hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200 upon its release last October.
