In an interview with NME, the band confirmed that one of their new songs on forthcoming LP Turn Blue actually includes an entire sample as part of its makeup, something they've never done before.

According to drummer Patrick Carney, the song "Year in Review" includes a sample of Nico Fidenco, an Italian singer and movie soundtrack composer best known for his work on spaghetti westerns.

Singer/guitarist Dan Auerbach added that Turn Blue includes the band's longest song to date. "Weight of Love," which opens the record, clocks in at nearly seven minutes. The band previously hit nearly six minutes on "Goodbye Babylon" from 2006′s Magic Potion, plus six minutes, 45 seconds on 2006 cover album Chulahoma: The Songs of Junior Kimbrough with "My Mind is Ramblin.'"
