Aerosmith and Slash Reveal Summer Tour Dates
. The tour will be kicking off on July 10th in Wantagh, NY at Nikon at Jones Beach Theatre and is scheduled to conclude on September 12th in Sydney, NS, Canada at the Open Hearth Park. "Aerosmith is one of my all time favorite bands, and one of the greatest rock & roll bands of all time," says Slash. "It's an honor for me to go out & tour with them and keep the rock & roll banner flying high." Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler had this to say about the tour, "Looking forward to inciting a riot and building the tribal bonfire even higher--it's a win win with Slash". Aerosmith' Joe Perry, who originally broke the news online, adds, "The writing's on the wall--Aerosmith and Slash. We're gonna let rock rule this summer. Catch us if you can." Aerosmith and Slash didn't just announce the tour dates in the usual fashion. They revealed the tour plans in a big way by performing at the Whisky A Go Go in Hollywood on Tuesday. Aerosmith - without guitarist Brad Whitford - played four tracks, including "Draw The Line", "Same Old Song And Dance", "Pink" and "Walk This Way" before being joined by Slash for "Mama Kin" and "Train Kept A-Rollin."
