(The Blues) Tom Waits has signed a deal with a music agent for the first time in 20 years - leading to speculation he's planning to tour again even though he officially retired from playing live six years ago.

The 64-year-old last year made a surprise appearance at Neil Young's annual Bridge School Benefit show, making his first public show since announcing he'd retired from playing live in 2008.

Confirming his appearance, Waits underlined he had no plans to deliver further shows. But now it's been confirmed he's agreed a contract with William Morris Endeavour, including a theatrical management arrangement with The Schiff Company.
