Rock Hall Release Video About Duane Allman's 1959 Les Paul
. The instrument, along with another '59 Les Paul was loaned to the museum by Duane's daughter Galadrielle. Earlier this year the Gibson Custom Shop came out with a painstakingly recreated version of Duane Allman's 1959 Cherry Sunburst Guitar. The Gibson Custom Shop visited the museum along with Lee Roy Parnell, who was able to determine that "this particular guitar was the one that Duane used most often to record and perform live." The '59 Les Paul that's on display at the Rock Hall was used by Duane Allman on the classic Allman Brothers live album At Fillmore East, which contain lots of jams and the band's excellent version of "Statesboro Blues."
