Singled Out: Willpowerless
. Our latest single "Stronger" is just one of those songs that felt effortless to finish. There was a lot of motivation beyond it stemming from all the obstacles we've had to overcome as a band through the years. Although it was initially driven by our experiences as a band, we geared the lyrics to relate to anyone, not just struggling musicians. A lot of people feel like it's one thing after another and they can never just catch a break. As you grow older it also seems like the problems keep getting harder and harder year by year. The song was written to point out that for each problem you defeat, it only makes you stronger. When you think about it, it's way easier for a body builder to lift a 350 pounds than a weak person simply trying to lift 100. Maturing means to grow and eventually ending up at a desired destination. We wrote the song to encourage people not lead with their ego or emotions and instead fully understand what they really want, and what really matters in life. This way they can move forward, not backward. It seemed fitting to name the track "Stronger". Hearing is believing.
