Dearly Beloved Release 'Living Proof' Video
. Their album Hawk Vs Pigeon was released last year in their native Canada, and appears in the UK via Aporia Records on November 25. Higgins started work on Dearly Beloved after having 80% of his large intestine removed to prevent suffering the illness that killed his father. He spent 10 days in California, in a "haze of grief, pot-smoke and post-recovery morphine" but it worked, and soon the album was being recorded at Rnacho de la Luna, favoured by Kyuss, Queens Of The Stone Age and the Eagles Of Death Metal. "We just booked five days, showed up and every morning it was the same," Higgins says. "We'd wake up, roll a huge joint, make a big pot of coffee; and once I was super-baked I'd grab the bass and the first cool thing that I played we'd work out and turn into a song. We'd do that all day until the whole track was done. In five days we had a record." Check out the video here. Classic Rock Magazine is an official news provider for antiMusic.com.
