Florida Georgia Line Make History with 'Round Here'
. No small feat, Florida Georgia Line's Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley took to Twitter on Tuesday (September 17) to share their appreciation with country radio. They tweeted fans "Honored to be a part of this thing they call COUNTRY MUSIC. Thank you Country Radio. Your support is truly a... fb.me/NoG9vCqv" The duo stormed country airwaves last year with their debut single "Cruise." The track went to No. 1 on the country airplay charts back in December and soon saw heavy rotation on Top 40 radio for their remix with Nelly. Radio.com sat down with Kelley and Hubbard earlier this year and learned how the collaboration came together. "We had some pop stations that were wanting a different version of 'Cruise' that we could send out, and he [Nelly] is a labelmate," Kelley explained. "We heard he was a fan of what we were doing and the song. We knew he wanted to do it, and literally a day or two later we had the track and we cranked it up on the bus." "We're huge fans of him. I don't think we could have picked anybody better. It fits what we're doing, it fits what he's doing," he added. "He's a country boy at heart. We're thankful that he put his amazing talent on our song." more on this story Radio.com is an official news provider for antiMusic.com.
