The band made the announcement on their Facebook page as the musical is preparing to launch its first North American tour on October 15 at Baltimore's Hippodrome Theatre.

Queen guitarist Brian May shared his excitement about the program, "We are thrilled you are looking at 'We Will Rock You' as a school production. It was a blast to put the show together in the first place and we have been running for 11 years in London. We hope you will have a blast doing it for your school."
