Lady Gaga Set To Go On Trial
. Gaga's former roommate and personal assistant, Jennifer O'Neill, is suing the singer for overtime wages. O'Neill will take her case to court November 4, where the jury will decide if she was on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week, as she claimed in her 2011 lawsuit. U.S. District Judge Paul Gardephe originally ruled that O'Neill's on-call time could qualify for overtime compensation. Lawyers previously stated that because of Gaga's constant working schedule, O'Neill often slept in the same hotel room with Gaga to attend to her needs no matter the time. "Every day is a work day for her, so every day is a work day for the rest of us," O'Neill said. "There is no, 'We're going to stay in, we're going to sleep.' There is no, 'Let's put on sweatpants and go out to the movies and be girlfriends.' It doesn't work like that," O'Neill said. In Lady Gaga's deposition testimony she made it clear that as her assistant, O'Neill didn't get a normal schedule. more on this story Radio.com is an official news provider for antiMusic.com.
