2 Chainz Talks New Album and Cookbook
. "I'm excited about it, I worked with some great producers, still kept it ATL," he said during the interview regarding the new album while referencing his hometown of Atlanta, GA. "Still stayed in my lane, but I definitely (grew) on this one. I widened my lane, I'll say that. I didn't get outside of it. I'm very excited about the music, the mixes, the arrangements. "I put a lot of work into this album. It was non-stop," the "Birthday Song" rapper added. "It's just a lot of heart, sweat and tears, a lot of culture, a lot of lifestyle, a lot of travelingI didn't reach a glass ceiling, so I still feel like I can grow some more." Another big topic of conversation during the interview was food, with 2 Chainz talking about including his cookbook, #Mealtime, as a bonus feature on the new album. "The cookbook is very interesting. It just started from an idea I had at the beginning of this yearto do something for everybody around my camp," he explained. "I wanted my chef (Aleem) that's been with me for about three or four years to do a cookbook. Doing the research, we found out that it took a minute to actually publish a cookbook, so I came up with the idea to put a lot of these tour bus recipes inside my album. "I travel and eat different healthy meals, and it kind of keeps me going as far as being onstage every night. I think that everything you put in comes out like a receipt," he said. "Everything from your skin to being hydratedI just decided to highlight that. Instead of putting B-roll footage from the tour or some normal rap stuff, I just wanted to find a different angle. It's dope, and it'll really teach you a few things." more on this story Radio.com is an official news provider for antiMusic.com.
