Thrash legends Slayer have announced their plans to launch their first North American tour in two years this October. The trek will feature support from Gojira and 4ARM.The band has announced the initial dates for the tour and as of right now the trek will be kicking off on October 22nd in Anchorage, Alaska at the Sullivan Sports Arena and will conclude on November 30th at the Tsongas Arena in Boston, MA.
Slayer's lineup for the tour includes founders Tom Araya and Kerry King along with drummer Paul Bostaph and Exodus guitarist Gary Holt, who has been filling in for the late Jeff Hanneman who died on May 2nd from alcohol related cirrhosis.
The band have vowed to carry on in the face of Hanneman's death and have began to work on new music and said in a statement that they "hope to spend some time in the studio prior to this tour."
