Prince Serves Up New Single 'Breakfast Can Wait'
. "Breakfast Can Wait," the newest single from the R&B legend's extensive catalog, is out yesterday (Sept. 3) at digital retailers following months of teasers and Twitter chatter. The song was noted before its release for its amusing cover photo, which features Dave Chappelle donning Prince garb from his The Chappelle Show sketches, holding a plate of pancakes. What was considered as a potential joke by the artist currently known as Princewho posted the picture and teaser video (above) to accounts supposedly belonging to his new backing band, 3RDEYEGIRLis apparently an actual thing, with the nearly four-minute tune now available for download on iTunes. The song, which features Prince's higher-pitched vocals, funk guitar and subdued keyboard, is just another recent addition to the singer's crop of material, following August's "Groovy Potential" and June's "Ain't Gonna Miss U When U're Gone" featuring Ledisi. more on this story Radio.com is an official news provider for antiMusic.com.
