I wanted to write an upbeat song with a positive message about the environment and our role and power in the matter. The BP Oil spill had left me both outraged and shocked. I'm also from Alberta, Canada where local oil drilling is having a negative impact on the people and water. Water is imperative, water is life. Such environmental disasters saddened me and acted as inspirations for this song.
We need to create change, but change happens from within first. I believe that we all know the truth and that the infinite power of change lies within each and every one of us. If we fuel up on ourselves and fuel up on love, anything is possible.
