TLC's Original 'C' Upset With Biopic
. "They did a good job providing entertainment," began Atlanta-based artist manager Ian Burke, who along with Crystal Jones helped launch the original incarnation of TLC. (Short for Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins, the late Lisa "Left-Eye" Lopes and Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas, now). But "the whole way that the girls got together [in the TV movie] was totally fictitious," Burke said. "I was very disappointed," added Jones. "Very disappointed." In "CrazySexyCool," Jones was kicked out of the group because she wasn't able to sing. In real life, she says there was another reason; which she shared. Nonetheless, Kendra G asked her to perform.
