Cher Lloyd Explains Inspiration For 'I Wish' Featuring T.I.
. "The reason I wanted to record a song like this is because it touches on a subject that is really close to me," says Lloyd. "I've very open and honest because I feel like what's the point in pretending I'm 100% happy with myself when I'm not. Because I'm not." Lloyd also discussed her change in attitude, which she attributes to the pressures placed on her by being a part of the music business. "I have realized that, being in this industry, I got toned down a little bit and got told I wasn't allowed to do certain things," commented Lloyd. "And you know what? I don't care anymore." "I'm going to do what I want to do and if that means people turning their nose up to my stinking attitude, then so be it," she added. Stream the interview here.
