Riff Raff Reveals Debut Album Release Date
. Despite signing with Diplo's Mad Decent record label back in early 2012 (and a series of one-off singles), the world has yet to hear a full-length album from the cornrow-haired rapper with detailed facial hair and wild street style. According to Riff Raff's Twitter account, that's all about to change. Earlier this month, Riff Raff revealed the attention-grabbing cover art for Neon iCon, featuring the rapper in all his glory, surrounded by sexy women in matching gold one-piece bathing suits. The over-the-top cover image (featuring a glass Ikea coffee table popular with college students everywhere) is pure Riff Raff, and will surely be the basis for some memorable tour merchandise. Now the gold-toothed rapper has again taken to his Twitter account to make an announcement, this time the alleged release date for Neon iCon: January 14, 2014 ("So I can finally be one of them real boys," he added). "We got some features on this album, but we're not trying to sell the album like it's a bunch of rappers you [already] know about," Mad Decent label boss Diplo said during a video interview with DJ Vlad this past summer, with cameos from the likes of Wiz Khalifa, Mac Miller, Skrillex and Mike Posner expected to show up on Neon iCon. more on this story Radio.com is an official news provider for antiMusic.com.
