Nirvana's Krist Novoselic Guests On New Modest Mouse Album

(Gibson) Former Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic has been enjoying resurgence in his musical career as of late, having recorded with and appeared on stage together with Dave Grohl and Paul McCartney. Now Novoselic has revealed that he will be appearing on the upcoming new album by indie rockers Modest Mouse.

In an interview with Spotify, Novoselic explained that he used his Gibson bass for the recording session: "I did a song with Modest Mouse earlier this year for their new record. It's pretty edgy. I've got my big Gibson bass and a Rat distortion pedal busting out a... this bass riff."

The bass that Novoselic is referring to is most likely his Krist Novoselic Signature RD Bass , which was released by Gibson to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Nirvana's Nevermind album. The instrument has a maple neck and body, with an Ebony finish. more on this story
