. The paper reports Sammy's Rockin' Island Bar and Grill on Vernon Street had a sign on its door Monday announcing its closure, according to the Roseville & Granite Bay Press Tribune. The letter stated the restaurant was closed temporarily due to unforeseen events, according to the Press Tribune. Event calendars for the venue on other sites showed live music performances there through Dec. 20. Developer Steve Pease and partner John Yip formed Innova Restaurant Concepts LLC to open the restaurant, which was similar to others bearing Hagar's name, many of them in airports.
