Fred Armisen and J Mascis Cover TLC's 'Waterfalls'

(Radio.com) For an appearance at Boston's Berklee College of Music last Friday (Nov. 15), comedian Fred Armisen treated the students to a rockified cover of TLC's "Waterfalls."

But Armisen didn't do it all on his own. He got a little help from his friends, which on this particular night included recent Portlandia guest star and Dinosaur Jr. guitarist J Mascis and Sixpence None the Richer's Leigh Nash. (You might remember Nash's song, "Kiss Me," which helped soundtrack that immortal moment in She's All That where a ponytail-less Rachel Leigh Cook makes her way down those stairs and into Freddie Prinze, Jr's heart.)

While Armisen wins over the crowd with his bluesy take on the PSA for safe sex, a special shout-out should go to Rachel no last name necessary for her nearly perfect recreation of Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes' rap.

It should also be noted that this is not Armisen's first time covering "Waterfalls." Earlier this year, Armisen got a little funky in an all-white getup for his take on the track, which also featured Leigh Nash on vocals. Check it out here.
