Morrissey Releasing Cover of Lou Reed's Satellite of Love"
. "He has been there all of my life," Moz wrote of Reed in a release. "He will always be pressed to my heart. Thank God for those, like Lou, who move within their own laws, otherwise imagine how dull the world would be." According to NME, Morrissey recorded "Satellite of Love" at The Chelsea Ballroom at the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas on Nov. 25, 2011. Reed's original appeared on his 1972 album Transformer, an album Bono previously stated was his introduction to Reed. "Myself and my best friend Guggi would sit for hours listening to these street stories, thinking we knew what it was to walk on the wild side. We were 12 and 13," Bono said. Stream the cover here.
