According to NME, Morrissey recorded "Satellite of Love" at The Chelsea Ballroom at the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas on Nov. 25, 2011. Reed's original appeared on his 1972 album Transformer, an album Bono previously stated was his introduction to Reed.
