Kanye West Pleads Not Guilty in Paparazzi Assault Case
. He is facing two misdemeanor charges of battery and grand larceny stemming from the highly publicized confrontation with paparazzo Daniel Ramos on July 19, which was captured on video (via NPR). Each count carries a maximum of six months in prison or $1000 fine. The charges were filed in August by attorney Gloria Allred, who at the time thanked the L.A. City Attorney for not being "intimidated by Kanye's fame and fortune. "All that Danny did was to exercise his right of free speech," Allred said during a press conference (via CBS News) about the confrontation. "Danny held on to his camera, and fell down onto his knees onto the paved sidewalk with enough force that he sustained injuries to his right hip, was in great pain, and had to be transported in an ambulance." more on this story Radio.com is an official news provider for antiMusic.com.
