Eminem Teams Up With Marvel Comics For Iron Man
. "When the opportunity came up for us to do a variant cover with Eminem and Marvel, we immediately thought about how cool it would be for Eminem to be sitting with one of his favorite super heroes on the steps of the now abandoned house that he grew up in," the rapper's manager Paul Rosenberg said in a press release about the collaboration. "It ties together perfectly with the campaign for The Marshall Mathers LP 2." While hip-hop heads and comic book collectors alike were sent immediately scrambling to their local comic stores to pick up a copy on release day (Nov. 6), they were nearly impossible to find. Each retailer was only sent a single issue of the special cover of the book, making it an instant collector's item that's already collecting top dollar. Popular New York comic book store Forbidden Planet sold their lone copy for $100, employee Matt Desiderio told Radio.com. "This is nothing new. Anthrax, Metallica, Megadeth they've all done comic books at this point," he added. more on this story Radio.com is an official news provider for antiMusic.com.
