Pharrell Williams Joins Spiderman 2 Supergroup with Johnny Marr
. Such is the case for Amazing Spiderman 2, with legendary composer Hans Zimmer and producer Pharrell Willams teaming up with Incubus guitarist Mike Einziger, Johnny Marr of the Smiths, and Dave Stewart of Eurhythmics fame joining together to create the music for the movie. Zimmer took to his social networks to announce the soundtrack super-group, revealing the above photo of most of the musicians together in a recording studio. "(Director Marc Webb) and I were talking about Spider-Man, and as the word got out, so many of our friends and musicians started calling us up, wanting to be a part of it, because they love Spider-Man," the Academy Award-winning composer said in a press release (via Variety). "With all of these hugely talented people wanting to join us, it was Marc who said, 'Why not start a band?' Marc and I have had a great start jamming with everybody, and we still have a few surprises up our sleeve." more on this story Radio.com is an official news provider for antiMusic.com.
