Ian Rubbish Giving Away Song That Premiered on SNL

. (PKPR) Ian Rubbish, the punk rock alter-ego of comedian Fred Armisen (Saturday Night Live, Portlandia), is giving away a free download of the song "It's A Lovely Day," which was premiered on SNL.

Armisen hit the recording studio with producer Travis Harrison (Robert Pollard, OK GO, The Homosexuals) at Serious Business Music in New York City on May 26th to record "It's A Lovely Day."

"It's A Lovely Day" premiered on the season finale of Saturday Night Live with Ian Rubbish on lead guitar and vocals, Bill Hader on bass, Jason Sudeikis on drums, and Taran Killam on guitar, along with Armisen's Portlandia co-star Carrie Brownstein, Aimee Mann, Sonic Youth's Kim Gordon, Dinosaur Jr.'s J. Mascis, and the Sex Pistols' Steve Jones.

And now, just two days recorded, Ian Rubbish is releasing the studio version of "It's A Lovely Day" as a free download here.
