Blake Shelton Organizing Benefit Concert For Tornado Victims
. As he told Billboard after Tuesday's edition of The Voice, he'll have more information on what he's planning "in the next 24 hours" and that "it will raise a lot of money." He added, "Obviously it will be televised and will happen really quickly." Billboard reports that he then pointed to his fellow Voice coach Usher and said, "I can call in some really big favors." Shelton's event is reportedly being planned to take place in Oklahoma City. He also has a personal connection to the town of Moore, which is north of Ada, where he grew up. "I spent three Christmases at my sister's house in Moore, Oklahoma, and some of those helicopter views of the destruction, you could see her house a quarter of a mile away from there," he said. "My nieces and nephews would have gone to that school (Plaza Towers Elementary), and when you start putting it in that sort of perspective, and then thinking, 'Oh my God, I am so glad that they recently moved away from that area.' And then you go, 'What about all those people that didn't?' It's hard to put into words, honestly." more on this story Radio.com is an official news provider for antiMusic.com.
