Emmylou Harris, The Lumineers Among Americana Award Nominees

(Radio.com) The Americana Music Association announced that honky-tonk hitmaker Dwight Yoakam, singer Emmylou Harris, guitarist Buddy Miller, folk-rock group The Lumineers, and Charleston, South Carolina duo Shovels & Rope are among the nominees for the association's 2013 Honors & Awards Show. The nominations were announced during a ceremony at the GRAMMY Museum in Los Angeles.

With only five awards given out, Shovels & Rope led with four nominations, including Album of the Year for their 2012 release O Be Joyful and Song of the Year for "Birmingham."

Harris and Miller each received three nominations, including Album of the Year honors�Harris for Old Yellow Moon, her collaboration with Rodney Crowell; Miller for Buddy & Jim, his album with Jim Lauderdale.

Yoakam earned one nomination for Artist of the Year, as did the Lumineers�theirs being for Song of the Year for their GRAMMY-nominated hit "Ho Hey." Additional nominees include John Fullbright, Jim Lauderdale, JD McPherson, the Milk Carton Kids, Bruce Robison and Kelly Willis, Richard Thompson, and Greg Leisz. more on this story
