Yeah Yeah Yeahs Release Bloodthirsty Mosquito Video
. For "Mosquito," the album's title track, director B. Shimbe Shim trained a camera on a little boy who is quietly being entertained by a flickering television. So memorized by the TV, the boy doesn't notice the mosquito that lands on his hand and begins to withdraw blood. Under high magnification, a second camera displays a disturbingly close-up view of the blood-sucking action. By the end of the video, the insect has expanded far beyond belief, having filled itself to the breaking point with the boy's blood. "Mosquito" is just the latest thought provoking video to come from the New York trio. In March, the band released a video to accompany the album's first single titled "Sacrilege," in which model turned actress Lily Cole is at the center of a sordid tale intertwining lust, revenge, religion and possibly even incest. more on this story Radio.com is an official news provider for antiMusic.com.
