. Deadmau5 teased the song on Twitter, calling it his "fave" from Kat Von D's upcoming album and announcing that he might offer fans a "sneak preview" on Soundcloud. They Tweeted, "workin hard on one of the tracks on @thekatvond s upcoming album. this one is by far my fav! maybe a sneak preview on soundcloud inna bit ;)" Hours after sending out the Twitter message, Deadmau5 posted a demo version of the song with a brief message: "The first rough draft of 'Satellite.'
