Aerosmith Releasing New Concert Film
. Frontman Steven Tyler took to Facebook to announce the release along with the official trailer for the DVD concert film which will be entitled "Rock for The Rising Sun." Tyler wrote, "Hey ya'll�How 'bout sum of our new movie!!! 2 start ur day or nite. Can't wait for u to see it. Luv ST!!!" You can watch the trailer here. The band visited Japan six months after the earthquake and tsunami devastated the island nation and "Rock for The Rising Sun" features footage of the band's performance in concert in Japan as well as footage of the resilient Japanese dealing with the natural disasters that rocked their nation. The band's longtime collaborator Casey Patrick Tebo directed the new concert film. Tebo originally did not intend to make a documentary but once he returned home and saw the footage, he decided to the make the film without the band's knowledge, according to Japan Daily Press. They report that when Tebo showed the band the final edited product at a LA Theater that he rented, the band loved it so much that Steven Tyler even cried, while Joe Perry gave him a hug. The announcement did not include a firm release date, simply saying June 2014.
