Depeche Mode Get Swedish House Mafia Treatment
. "Soothe My Soul," the second single from Depeche Mode's current full-length, Delta Machine, is set for a May 10th release, with the CD maxi-single and vinyl 12-inch coming with a remix by Steve Angello of the Swedish House Mafia in collaboration with DJ/producer Jacques Lu Cont, also known as Stuart Price, who's worked with Madonna, the Killers and New Order. "Depeche Mode and Jacques Lu Cont are heroes to me," Angello told Rolling Stone. "So when the opportunity came, there was not a single doubt in my mind." The hard-driving, bluesy original is reworked by the producers into a dynamic dance track that moves from big beats to moody breakdowns, ideal for creating dramatic moments in a DJ set.
