Pink Challenges The Slut Concept

. (Radio.com) The indomitable Pink covers the June issue of Glamour magazine and, as always, offers up an interview that is miles away from shy. While the photos dress the pink-haired singer up in designer duds from Monique Lhuillier, Marc Jacobs and Vivienne Westwood, the interview is pure Pink.

She tells the mag, who ask about the songs "Slut Like You" and "Walk of Shame" on her latest album The Truth About Love, that she's a reformed slut. But more importantly, that she's taking the power of that word back as well as the sexual freedom it denotes.

The singer says, "I've always had an issue with [the idea that]: 'OK, we've both decided to do this. Why am I a slut and you're the player? You didn't get anything from me that I didn't get from you.'"

And, in an unexpected turn, she reveals that she went on a date with 'N SYNC's Joey Fatone back in the day when she was on tour with the guys. She says he was "in love with me" and that he even, adorably, asked her dad for permission to take her out. more on this story
