On Thursday Tupac California Love Hat With Motley Crue Connection Being Auctioned was a top story. Here is the recap: (Radio.com) An auctioneer is taking bids for the fedora allegedly worn by Tupac in his 1995 video for "California Love." The Biltmore Imperial homburg was a gift to the wife of a heavy metal icon and now it can be yours.

The hat was in the possession of Sharise Neil, who was married to Mtley Cre frontman Vince Niel from 1987-1993. As part of the authentication process, Neil signed a letter explaining how she acquired 'Pac's famous fedora.

"This hat was given to me by TuPac [sic] after he was done filming the 'California Love' Video," the letter reads. "TuPac [sic] wrote his name and number for me on this piece of paper. It has been in my personal possession since this time."

Along with the sworn testament by Neil, there is also a ticket stub from a trip to Cabo San Lucas that included Tupac and members of Death Row Records.

The auction, held by Iconic Memorabilia, closes on March 3o. At press time, the highest bid is over $3,000. - more on this story
