The Flaming Lips Push Back New Album Release
. The band announced that they have pushed back the North American release until April 16th. The album was originally scheduled to be released on April 2nd. The April 1st U.K. release date has not changed. Wayne Coyne had this to say about the album, "Why would we make this music that is The Terror - this bleak, disturbing record...? I don't really want to know the answer that I think is coming. Maybe this is the beginning of the answer." The band will be hitting the road to support the album and will also be making an appearance on The Late Show With David Letterman on April 3rd. The band will be playing several shows with the Black Keys in late April and early May and once again in early July. The also have a one off show with JEFF The Brotherhood in Chattanooga, TN on May 4th and will be taking part in Lollapalooza Brazil on March 29th.
