Wale Teases New Album
. The Chad Tennies-directed clip hints at themes of hustling in the music industry and shows a pensive and shadowy Wale superimposed with black and white concert footage. A soft beat plays behind the rapper's narration, an inspiring ode to fans that plays on the album's theme. "The hustler, priding his self on the very things they hate him for," Wale says in the video. "The Gifted. Aren't we all? I said, 'Aren't we all?' May we all live level-headed and dream even higher. And when them f****** nay-saying and doubting, think about it. Dream even higher. The Gifted." Ambition featured artists like Kid Cudi, Miguel and Rick Ross, but it remains to be seen who might be making appearances on The Gifted. "I'm very excited about the music, because it's very reminiscent of my earlier work with [producer] Mark Ronson and things of that nature," Wale said of The Gifted late last year.
