Heidi Klum Joining America's Got Talent As New Judge

News of Klum joining the show, following Sharon Osbourne's departure, broke over the weekend when gossip site TMZ posted a photo showing Klum's name along with other judges for show on a stage backdrop. Klum will not be the only new judge for the program, NBC announced last month that they have recruited former Spice Girls star Mel B to official replace Osbourne. Klum and Mel B will join existing hosts Howard Stern and Howie Mandel as judges for next season. Klum confirmed the news on Monday with a Twitter post. She wrote, "Excited 2 join @HowardStern @howiemandel @OfficialMelB & @NickCannon on @nbcagt as new judge! Will be so fun," she tweeted. The struggling network is reportedly betting the new hosts will boost ratings after the show had record low viewers during last year's finale, according to Reuters.
