Chris Brown Lashes Out At Hit And Run Charge
. Going so far as to post an image of the alleged hit-and-run victim's bumper and license plate as his profile picture (which he has since updated to a photo of the driver taking a photo of her bumper), Brown decried the driver of the other car as looking for a "payday," calling the charges "ridiculous." He began a series of tweets with, " It's not a hit and run if u get out the car, exchange information (who has NO DAMAGE to either cars). This is really ridiculous" and followed up with " I have a valid drivers license and I gave the woman the right info. She saw cameras and wanted to make a scene." He then added, " She contacted the cops thinking of a payday from Chris Brown when I followed the proper procedures." and then added " My lawyers will be contacting you. I will not stand for this bullying and yellow journalism!" Who that tweet was addressed to was not clear. He concluded 8 minutes later with " My profile pic is the pic I took of the persons car after "the hit and run". NO damage. Just a dirty car.once again, I gotta clear my name." "I can confirm that the City Attorney's Office did file two misdemeanor charges against rapper Chris Brown that includes hit and run and driving without a valid license," said Frank Mateljan, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles City Attorney's Office, told Radio.com by phone today (June 25). "Charges stem from a minor traffic incident in May (May 21) of 2013.
