Jay-Z's 'Magna Carta Holy Grail' Commercial Explained

. (Radio.com) Jay-Z told the world that he'll drop Magna Carta Holy Grail July 4 in the form of a commercial during the NBA Finals. That's not all, though. Samsung has bought 1 million copies of the album at $5 a pop, which the company will be giving to its customers.

Three days before the actual release, an app will allow Samsung Galaxy phone and tablet users to download Jay-Z's new album, according to The Wall Street Journal.

VIBE Music Editor John Kennedy joined us to talk on Jay's new album calling him "a master of surprise and suspense." The album came out of nowhere, Kennedy said but people are no doubt excited about it.

What could make this album hotter? A photo of Jay-Z, Justin Timberlake, Nas and Timbaland surfaced online, causing fans to wonder if a possible Nas/Jay collab is in the works. One time rivals, Jay-Z and Nas are still two of the most respected MCs in the game. Though they've collaborated in recent years, their feud in the early 2000s is regarded as one of the most high-profile feuds in hip-hop history where both artists openly dissed each other in interviews and their own music.
