Prince Releases Another New Song
. The funky six-minute jam features unconventional percussion, like bells, an interjecting brass section and just a touch of '80s synth. The GRAMMY-nominated Ledisi sings the chorus on loop, "Ain't gonna miss you when you're gone," while Prince dedicates the verses to an ex-love interest who he apparently no longer cares for. He sings, "Pardon my critique/Something's changed/Every time you speak it sounds deranged/Blessed are the meek/You used to be my girl/Now you're just a freak that's going back in the world." In place of the singer's famous falsetto are a couple of different rap breaks, done in a computerized bass tone to break up the duo's groovy duet. more on this story Radio.com is an official news provider for antiMusic.com.
