Def Leppard's Vivian Campbell To Rock This Summer Despite Cancer

. (hennemusic) Def Leppard guitarist Vivian Campbell says he is committed to summer touring despite his recent cancer diagnosis. Def Leppard are set to return to the road for summer dates starting June 22 at Hellfest in France.

"I posted about my cancer diagnosis (Hodgkin's Lymphoma) on my personal FB page a couple of days ago," writes Campbell. "Thank you to all who have offered support; I'm very, very touched by that.

"Be assured, however, that the Last In Line shows will still be happening in August - I have no intention of letting cancer slow me down. I look forward to seeing you all then. Vivian."

In addition to his duties with Leppard, Campbell will debut the reunited Dio band as Last In Line, 30 years after the recording of the legendary Dio albums "Holy Diver," "Last In Line" and "Sacred Heart." The band is being joined for the shows by vocalist Andrew Freeman. more on this story
