Jack Johnson Debuts New Song and Sets Album Release
. On the new track, Johnson sings about his devotion to his wife. From songs penned about his children to his early days as a member of a punk band, Johnson has proven that personal songs are his strong suit. But occasionally he pens lyrics that cut too deep. Johnson told Rolling Stone, that it's "been a balance I've had to find through the whole process of sharing these songs." He admitted he has a tough time listening back to parts his 2010 album To The Sea because he's reminded of his father, who died of cancer in 2009. Johnson, who felt like his father's son on the last album, feels "like a dad" on the new record. When it comes to family, he notes that everything else is "secondary." Johnson, who intends to "mix it up" with some smaller theater tours next year, will debut the new album in London and New York City, June 19 and 24 respectively. Listen to the new song here.
