Lamb Of God's Randy Blythe Fully Cleared In Manslaughter Case

(Radio.com) Randy Blythe, the lead singer of heavy metal band Lamb of God, can finally breathe a little easier. According to the Richmond Times-Dispatch (the band is from Richmond), an appeals court in the Czech Republic has upheld Blythe's March 5 acquittal in the case of fan Daniel Nosek, 19, who fell from the stage at a 2010 Lamb of God concert in Prague, eventually dying from resulting head injuries.

The singer had been charged with manslaughter for pushing Nosek from the stage, subsequently spending five weeks in a Czech jail last summer. Blythe was found not guilty by Prague's Municipal court, but the state prosecutor appealed the verdict. He was facing 5-10 years in prison if convicted.

"When the verdict was read, that I had been exonerated, I tried my best to act with dignity, to show no emotion," Blythe wrote on his Tumblr after his acquittal in March.

"Perhaps one day I will be able to express what I felt when I finally learned I was to remain free, but right now I am still trying to understand it. Relief, certainly, but there was a greater part welling up in me, something like disbelief saturated with a deep sadness. A fan of my band was dead, and a family had been shattered." more on this story
