American Idol Cancel Ten Summer Tour Dates
. "Due to production scheduling changes, the American Idol 2013 Tour will now begin on July 19th and go through the summer until August 31st," the statement said. "The Idols look forward to performing in 30 venues across the country." The season 12 contestants, including winner Candice Glover and runner-up Kree Harrison, were originally slated to hit 40 cities this summer, but ten of the dates have now been cancelled. These dates include shows in Detroit, St. Louis, Las Vegas and Tulsa, Oklahoma. This news comes nearly three weeks after Idol's most recent season finale was down 47 percent from last season's finale, pulling in 13.61 million viewers, 8 million less than the 21.5 million who watched last season's finale. This year's finale is also the first to have less than 20 million viewers.
