The Weeknd Premieres New Song 'Love In The Sky'

(Radio.com) Canadian alt-R&b star the Weekend (AKA Abel Tesfaye) continues to slink seductively towards the September 10 release date of his second album, Kiss Land, by revealing a new song from the set, "Love in the Sky."

The brooding and atmospheric "Love in the Sky" is the third track to be previewed from the forthcoming Kiss Land, following "Belong to the World" and the album's title track. Like much of the Weeknd's notoriously lascivious catalog, the new song is filled with sexual innuendo and drug references among the heavy orchestral bombast.

The Weeknd recently generated controversy of a different kind over the release of "Belong to the World," which many believed to contain a sample of Portishead's "Machine Gun," the first single from that band's 2008 full-length, Third. After Portishead producer Geoff Barrow called Tesfaye out on Twitter claiming that he denied the request to use Portishead's music, the Weeknd mastermind fired back that his song does not contain a sample from "Machine Gun." more on this story
