An Animator's View Of Kanye West's 'Black Skinhead' Video
. While the new version is only slightly different than the one that leaked a few weeks ago, the official clip has an interactive component (available on 'Ye's site) where fans can control the speed of the video or take a screen grab. The clip was directed by Nick Knight, the visual artist who created the worldwide art installation West used to promote Yeezus. We asked Chris "Broadway" Romero, video director and VP of Animation and R&D at Play GIG-IT, for some insight on the "Black Skinhead" clip, which stars none other than a CGI version of West himself. "It's Kanye's response to his issue with paparazzi," Romero explained. "He knows people are going to slow it down, re-frame it and share it. He's giving them a way to do that within the context of this video and really break down his visuals on his terms with his audience, whom he cares about the most." More including the video.
