Smashing Pumpkins Releasing Live Album and Home Video

(Gibson) The Smashing Pumpkins' new live album, Oceania: Live In NYC will be released on September 3. It will be available as a concert DVD, a 3D Blu-ray disc, a 2CD + DVD package, and as a digital download.

Smashing Pumpkins, which today consists of founder and sole-original member Billy Corgan, guitarist Jeff Schroeder, bassist Nicole Fiorentino and Mike Byrne on drums, recorded the album at Barclays Center in Brooklyn on December 10, 2012.

The show was originally scheduled for Halloween but had to be moved due to the devastation caused by Hurricane Sandy. The band first performed Oceania in full before launching in to a greatest hits set spanning the band's entire career, and a cover of David Bowie's "Space Oddity." more on this story
